Rachel's New Job!!!

As you all know I've been trying to become a police officer for while now!

After, I got back for the Hill Family Reunion. I got the call to meet with the Sheriff of Davis County, Bud Cox. After meeting with him he offered me the job!!! So of course I excepted the job and nearly couldn't hold it together while I was in his office!!! I wanted to scream!!!! I was sooo EXCITED!!!

So on July 6th, I started at Davis County, as a Corrections Deputy in the Jail!!! and then I will start the Poilce Academy on August 3.

The first day that I started I got my badge and it was sooo amazing!!!

Also in the first week that I was there I got to visit some of the areas in the jail and see how they work, my first day I spent up in Admin., 2nd in Classifications, 3rd in Transport (I ran my butt), 4th Work Release, 5th Visiting and then I started with my squad the next week. Davis County is a little bit different in how they do things at Weber County so I'll have to get us to it but it's still go to have that experience and I'm so grateful for the time that I had at Weber County... I miss a lot of the Deputy's that I use to work with.

My squad is really great, they are really smart and helpful! I will be in booking until I go though Academy, but I know that I'll get a lot of experience in just doing this! I'm on night shifts but when I go to academy I'll be on days!

Anyways I'll keep you all posted on the Academy when it starts!

My First Mother's Day

On Sunday I Celebrated my first Mother's Day!!!

It was soo sweet, Bryan and Brylee bought me a flowers, a card, and gave me a Clean house!!!

Then on Monday they surprised me with a belated mother's day present!

I got a Jogger!!!

I've been wanting one for the days that I miss out on going to the gym. I hope that this will help with getting in shape to get pass a PT and get hired, so that I can go though the police academy.

Anyways, Mother's Day was great!!!

Bryan, Brylee and I went to church. The church had a special program for mother's day, it was very nice and they gave out Mother prayer devotional books. After church we went to Mee-maw and Grandpa Gaitin's and had a yummy BBQ. Scott and Kellie where also there along with Grandma Gamel. Lori was so nice too, she bought me a cute outfit for mother's day and Grandma Gamel bought all the mother's a yummy Frosted Rock Ice cream cake!!! Then we just hung out for a little bit and the went to the Grandma and Grandpa Hope's.

At my parents house my sister Angie, and her two kids Riker and Alexia, and my brother Clint where also there. My mom bought me some really cute earrings for mother's day. Then all of us hung out for a while. So anyways that was my first mother's day!

I just have to take the time to express how thankful I am for my little girl!

It's so amazing to me to think that last Mother's day I found out that I was pregnant with her and now I have a healthy, beautiful baby girl!

I would never change being a mother for anything!!!

It is the best and most rewarding job I've ever had!!! I don't know what I ever did without her, her, little smile melts my heart, and the way that she just coos as if she is telling me something so important or funny.

Rachel's 1st week back to work!!!

On Monday I started back to work and thought that I was going to go crazy! Even though I fully know that Scott is fully capable of taking care of Brylee while Bryan was coming home from work. The thought of just not being able to be with her for a full 8 1/2 hours, made me want to cry! I wanted to call every minute to see how she was doing. Bryan said that she did well. It is soo cute to see him with her, he is such a good daddy! I know that going back to work is the best thing for our family and I hope that it will get a little easier to leave her to go to work.

Anyways work went well this week besides it felt like time was at a total stand still! Work has also been great with letting me pump and I hope that they will continue to be. Also to answer many peoples questions, no I was not involved in the inmate escaping. But on that side note I just want to say that everyone makes mistakes and this was a BIG mistake, I am still proud that I work for Weber County Jail!
