the Gaitin's Go CAMPING!!!!

On Friday, August 21, Bryan, Brylee, Roxy, Ronin and I set out on an adventure to Mirror lake. Bryan and I always go up there but never stay over night, we also always talked about going camping but just never found the time to go. But this time we thought that it would be fun to stay and that it would make a fun thing for our little family to start doing together.

Friday we found our campsite and set-up, then we hiked around a little.

Saturday, we took the Brylee and the dogs of a hike down a river that ended in a valley, it was very pretty. We also to a walk around Mirror lake which Bryan cried about the whole time, staying that he was tired and wanted to go back to the campsite (what a cry baby). So after all the hiking we went back to the camp site and had dinner and had Smores (what's camping with out that???).

Sunday, we woke up to a little rain, we packed up a little early but all in all we had a great time!!! I think that Bryan and I will try to keep camping on our "to do list for Summer."

Here are are fun pictures of the weekend!

Brylee's New Carseat!!!

Bryan and I decided that we needed to buy Brylee a new carseat because she was starting to outweigh her old one. The old carseat was rated for a baby under 21 lbs., Brylee is now 20lbs. (We though that it was getting a little unsafe). Also she was unable to stretch her legs out and was really starting to hate it anytime that we put her in it.
Anyways, just when Bryan and I were on the lookout for a nice one. Mee-maw and Grandpa Gaitin bought one for her!!! (THANK YOU)
I wish that I could say that Brylee loves this carseat, but that would be a BIG lie. She still hates riding in the car these days, but how at least she looks conferable. I hope that when she gets old enough and we can face her forward that she will like it a little bit better.
Anyways here are some cute pictures of her in her NEW carseat...

This is the only way we can keep her happy!!!!

POLICE Academy!!!

I start the academy this week, Aug. 3!
I'm so excited to be reaching one of my goals, now my next goal is to PASS with out hurting my self! lol.
Really though I'm not joking!
I don't think that my legs, butt, stomach, arms, or rather EVERYTHING has hurt so bad in my life! I'll lose the rest of my baby flap in no time, lol. (lets hope at least)
Anyways class is going great, I've been learning a ton! There is a lot to study and a lot of things to remember.
I know that it will be hard and PAINFUL but I know that I can get though it!
However, prayers would be nice!
Please pray that I'll pass all my PT with out killing myself! lol

Highchair Fun!!!

Bryan and I finaly decied on a Highchair for Brylee. I know it's not really gender nuteral but what the Heck I LOVE it and I may only have one Girl, so why not be girly!!!

After seeing Brylee struggle to get in and out of her Bumppo, we deiced that it was a MUST and set our goal to get her a Highchair. After a long search we found this on target.com and then had to wait for it to get her.
It felt like forever but it came on July 24!
It took just about a week.
So Bryan and I where so excited to get it out and put it together, I think that we were more excited then Brylee was for it, lol.
Anyways Brylee seems to like it and I think that's all that matters!

Here's some photos...

It's such a cute Highchair!!!

Brylee's 6th month Photo shoot

I thought that I was time to update Brylee's Professional Pictures, so we went back to Sandrine Hudgens (creoleartphotography.blogspot.com). She has been the only one that has taken pictures of Brylee, 1st when she was an infant and 1 month, and 2nd when she was 3 months old with the rest of the Gaitin clan. So I thought that we need to go back to her because she does such a wonderful job and I wasn't wrong about it!!!
Here are Brylee's pictures...

I Love them!!!
What do you think???

Brylee's New tub!

Brylee has been wanting to sit-up all the time now!
The infant tub that I've been bathing her in has become a little hard to bath her in, and she doesn't seem to enjoy bath time as much as she us to.

So before I left Weber County on of my friends told be about these blow-up rubber Dukie tubs. She said that her little boy loves his and it made it a lot easier to bath him. So I thought that I would try it out for Brylee and I found one at Walmart.

Here are a few pictures and a video...

the Tub!

Brylee seems to like it, lets try it out!

Here's the video!

I think that she LOVES Bath time again!!!

Brylee and her Sippy Cup

So since the Doctor told us that it was OK to start giving Brylee juice I went out and bought her some cute Playtex Sippy's. I though that I would start out with giving her Apple juice.

I thought that would need to really teacher her how to use it,
but our smart Brylee Anne knew just was to do...

Anyways I just thought that I would show a little video.
Hope you liked it!!!

When I first gave her the Sippy cup

She likes it!!!

Brylee's 6 Months

I think this has been the hardiest to get over for me is that my Brylee is now 6 MONTHS OLD!!! She's really no longer a infant any more (tear).

Bryan had to take Brylee to the Doctor by himself because I was at work... that was hard too! This was the first time that I ever miss one of her doctor appointments. :(

Bryan was amazing though, he told me everything that the doctor said and did, I'm so luck to have him!

Anyways, Bryan said that the Doctor couldn't believe how strong she was, he was amazed at how well she sits up and wants to stand on her feet. He also said that she is doing very well on development, and was really impressed with how she reaches out for things.

He also told us to start her on Stage 2 foods, Juice in a Sippy Cup, and to start decreasing the amount of formula that she has because she will be getting more food.

Anyways her are Brylee's stats:
(I can't find the sheet so I'll have to put it in later)

Length:
Head:
Weight: 18.5 lbs

Can you believe it she now weighs 18 1/2 pounds???
We are going to have to buy another car seat for her because the one we have right now is only rated for babies under 21 pounds.

Here's our cute 6 month old...
I had a little fun and painted her toe nails when she fell asleep!

(I had to take advantage of having a girl, as my sister stated)

Rachel's New Job!!!

As you all know I've been trying to become a police officer for while now!

After, I got back for the Hill Family Reunion. I got the call to meet with the Sheriff of Davis County, Bud Cox. After meeting with him he offered me the job!!! So of course I excepted the job and nearly couldn't hold it together while I was in his office!!! I wanted to scream!!!! I was sooo EXCITED!!!

So on July 6th, I started at Davis County, as a Corrections Deputy in the Jail!!! and then I will start the Poilce Academy on August 3.

The first day that I started I got my badge and it was sooo amazing!!!

Also in the first week that I was there I got to visit some of the areas in the jail and see how they work, my first day I spent up in Admin., 2nd in Classifications, 3rd in Transport (I ran my butt), 4th Work Release, 5th Visiting and then I started with my squad the next week. Davis County is a little bit different in how they do things at Weber County so I'll have to get us to it but it's still go to have that experience and I'm so grateful for the time that I had at Weber County... I miss a lot of the Deputy's that I use to work with.

My squad is really great, they are really smart and helpful! I will be in booking until I go though Academy, but I know that I'll get a lot of experience in just doing this! I'm on night shifts but when I go to academy I'll be on days!

Anyways I'll keep you all posted on the Academy when it starts!

Happy 4th of JULY!!!

OK, I know I'm behind but I'll catch up!!!
...
The 4th was a great day for our Family!!!

Bryan and I hung around the house and then played a little bit at home and then went to Evanston where we caught up with my side of the family (the Hope's).
If you have ever been to Evanston on the 4th you then know how crazy it is!!! There are fireworks going off EVERYWHERE!!! (I forgot my camera or I would show you)

After the fireworks, Brylee and I went to my parents cabin and spent the night, and then left in the morning!
Here are a few pics that I did manage to get!

Brylee in the Front yard!

(She loves to be outside)

I just LOVE this picture, lol!
